Chicks and Types

Choosing the right font has been always a problem. If you look at a typeface and it’s sexy curves, roundings and elegant thin strokes, for a designer, that yould be very nice to see. Simone Massoni brought this case to a point where chicks meet beautiful typefaces. Simone is an independant designer from Florence, Italy. His work for fashion magazines like GQ, Vanity Fair and Wired has lead him towards a elegant, simplistic style. This is what his chicks and types is showing and of course the rest of his awesome artworks. Enjo them!

Surveyor: A Mapmaker’s Letter.

Engraved maps use a characteristic form of lettering that’s unmistakable as anything else. We celebrate this style with Surveyor, a monumental family of typefaces designed for print and screen, and for sizes large and small.

The style of lettering that inspired Surveyor is an invention of the early nineteenth century, born of the material properties of copperplate engraving and the informational needs of cartography.
